Julie A. McGorty

Director of Community Development & Grants

With over 45 years as a resident of the Myrtle Beach area and a lifelong passion for serving others, Julie brings a wealth of knowledge, heart, and experience to the Unity Community leadership team.

A retired social worker and respected community advocate, Julie has spent her career helping families, veterans, and seniors navigate life’s challenges with dignity and compassion. Her insight, relationships, and deep roots in the area will help strengthen Unity Community’s foundation and expand our reach across Horry County and beyond.

As Director of Community Development & Grants, Julie will oversee funding initiatives, foster partnerships, and ensure accountability and transparency as Unity Community continues its mission to bridge the gap for seniors, veterans, the disabled, and single parents in need.
